Migration can be a challenging experience, particularly for the elderly, who may face isolation and the loss of familiar relationships.
Many older immigrants experience loneliness and boredom when their adult children, who have brought them to a new country, become occupied with work.
Recognizing this, the Shanti Niwas Positive Ageing Day Programme was established to support South Asian communities in New Zealand.
Our Mission: To promote positive aging through social engagement, activities, and support for senior citizens and people with special needs.
This program operates on weekdays at various locations. Members can choose a convenient center.
